Can I Hear A......

I feel like I'm being SUPER annoying with this Hot Mom competition.  I am so sorry if you are thinking the same thing.  I just figure... I have to..... if I want a chance at winning.  I don't think its all about the "Hotness" of the mom, because it really comes down to votes.  I'm sure every mom is very deserving of a win.

Anyway, a little over six years ago I had my 1st baby.  To me it feels like six years of Pregnancy.  My little kids are TOTALLY worth it, but in that time my so called wardrobe has taken a SERIOUS hit.  $1000 to me would mean, throwing out the old, and getting some new clothes.  I've been trying to grow my hair out, and it has seriously been two years since I've cut it.  So!  Last Chance to get me the BEST MOTHERS DAY GIFT EVER! :)

Blogging in Bulk

What is my deal?  This "lack" in blogging is SO unlike me.  I'm busy busy busy, and when I'm not, I am in serious need of lazy time.  So here is another attempt.  As you can see I've kinda fallen off the bandwagon on the questionnaire.  So I'm gonna do a quick run-through on as many as I think may be interesting.

Day 7:  My most treasured item.

My Ipod Touch!  I blare my music and dance all over the house.  I listen to books.  Play games.  Text.  I use it as a phone.  Social Media.  And my new favorite thing is to lay in bed and watch Grey's Anatomy on Netflix while Alex is snoozing.  I can even pass it off to my kids when they are getting "fidgety" in public places. LOVE IT!!

Day 8:  A Picture That Makes Me Laugh

This is Alex and his brothers!  Need I say more??

Day 11:  A Picture of Something You Hate

Nothing makes me more irritable than a temper tantrum!  My kids just seem to know the Perfect time to have them.  And they have MASTERED the art!  When they do it at home...I shut them in their rooms.  BUT...they always do it in public, and it is SO embarrassing!

Day 12:  A Picture of Something You Love

Ok so there were the obvious things..like..my kids, husband, girl's night, ect...
But nothing gets me feeling as good as a great Zumba work out.  I have always Loved to dance, and I've always admired those people in Latin Ballroom.  Anyway if you haven't tried it, you are really missing out!

Day 15:  A Picture of Something You Want to do Before You Die

Vacation in Figi

Next Blog Post I will finish.....Hopefully :)

Easter 2011

Every Saturday before Easter we take our kids to the Kuna Easter Egg Hunt.  Its become quite the tradition for us and the kids love it!  Here are some shots of our Easter weekend :)

When Logan went out into the field, the first SUCKER he found on the ground stopped him in his tracks!  He wanted NOTHING to do with the egg hunt because all he wanted was to open that tasty treat!  So funny.

That afternoon we went to my Mom's where the kids colored eggs and had a little Easter Egg hunt of their own.  My Mom also put together a FABULOUS meal!

Lately

I don't know what my deal is lately.  I'm usually pretty diligent at keeping up with my blog.  I wish I had fabulous things to post about but you'll just have to settle for some day-to-day stuff ;)

Speaking of day-to-day.....I am supposed to be at kickboxing this morning and I just don't want to.  I guess my biggest issue is my kids.  Logan has a SCREAMING fit every time I try to get him to go into the nursery room...that is IF there is a volunteer that day.  Anyway, I've been just taking them into the gym with me and having them sit along the wall with snacks and a couple toys, but Logan has been really making it hard.  He doesn't want to sit still for long.  I guess I can't blame him....He's almost two.  Anyway, this just confirms to me that we WILL be getting a family pass to the work out center here in Kuna sometime soon.  Maybe when school starts up for the fall.

I feel like I have been Super busy.  Doing what?  Kids.  House.  I'm pretty insane on having a clean house, but I'm gonna be honest, it is Constant work.  You can have it super clean but it can get messy pretty quick.  Dishes are a constant.  Probably because I feed kids around the clock.  Breakfast, Baby Bottle, Me, Baby Food, mid morning snack, lunch, bottle again, baby food again...you get the idea.

I have been going through the kids things and getting rid of toys.  Its kinda sad, because I really love some of those toys.  But lets be honest.  We have VERY little space.  Only 1/2 of them really get played with.  The other 1/2 of them just get dumped out, or they are stored away because I don't want little pieces laying around my house.  So, its time to simplify.

We have been getting a few glimpses of Spring.  I wish it would just get here already!  Anyway, one of the things we love doing as a family are bike rides.  Last summer I was pregnant, the summer before that Logan was a tiny newborn.  So we didn't get to bike.  Saturday we got all the bikes fixed up and spend a couple hours on the Greenbelt.  Alex pulled the babies in the trailer.  I had Mycah in a bike seat behind me.  Dejah rode with her training wheels.  It was Beautiful out!  We had a great time.

After our bike ride, we went to my nephew's 1st Birthday Party.  The kids had a really good time.
Here is my brother and his little Birthday Boy.

Logan is So Dang Cute!

I haven't had a chance to go out for a girls night for a few weeks now and I'm really feeling it.  There is just something about getting out with friends that is revitalizing!  Alex's evenings were SUPER crazy for a while there.  School will be over soon, so I'm hoping things will settle down.

Well, that's it for today. :)

Day 6: The Perfect Trade

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.

Meet Mystery Woman!

I have thought about this long and hard, and I'm gonna have to be perfectly honest....there is not one person I would want to trade with for a day.  However if I were to make up My OWN perfect day...and I'm sure there is someone out there that gets to have days like these (we'll just call her Mystery Woman)...It would look something like this.
(No Children...for the day)
1.  Sleep In
2.  Breakfast in Bed
3.  Makeover...mani-pedi, Hair, spry tan, Stylist.
4. Limo Ride with friends to an all expenses paid shopping spree for a whole new wardrobe.
("all expenses paid" refers to the ENTIRE day)
5.  Out to lunch with the friends
6.  Spend the rest of the day with my honey doing something fun like wake-boarding, riding bikes along the beach, or some other kind of beach adventure.
7.  Out to a nice dinner
8.  Dancing
9.  Off to a Luxery Sweet complete with Huge Jetted Tub, Big Soft Bed, and really funny movie.

Day 5: My Favorite Memory

Let me just say first....It is REALLY Hard to pick a "Favorite" memory.  With that being said.  Here is one that will forever remain in my History book.  I will need more than one picture to tell the story.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.

August 8, 2011
It was Sunday.  I was MAJORLY Pregnant.  I was SOOOOO ready to have my 4th baby that I was willing to do almost ANYTHING to get her out (that would be a safe of course).

Again, it was Sunday.  We went to my parents house for a couple hours and ended up talking about how my Mom induced her own labor by taking Castor Oil.  She told me she gagged a whole little bottle of it down and it put her into labor.  You have to realize, I was willing to do almost anything!  I didn't have any of that stuff on hand, but I was trying to win some "favor" with the Almighty by keeping the Sabbath Day holy.  I know, call me crazy.  I just felt like I was begging him to make this baby come, and I needed to do the right thing.
That evening we went to have some cake at a friend's house and got on the same subject.  I told them I was desperate, so I was going to wait until Midnight to go get me some Castor Oil.  I would have to hit a 24 Hour Walgreens.  Alex was a little worried about me going out so late by myself, so....my girly friends said they would come with me!

Midnight came, and we headed to Walgreens in Nampa!  I bought my castor-oil and we headed home.

We had so much fun gabbing and laughing!  Seriously one of the funnest times I've had.  Anyway we all pulled into my driveway and they wanted to witness me drinking it down.  (Lucky for me, I researched it first and discovered it doesn't take a whole bottle to do the trick)
I dumped a couple Tablespoons of that nasty goo into a small glass of Dr. Pepper and down it went.  Two or three swallows later it was done.  No big deal.

That night I had a lot of contractions.  But morning came and they stopped.

Anyway!  Such a FUN FUN memory!  We had a great time!

Day 4: My Night

Day 04 - A picture of your night.

I was asked if I could make a meal for someone who had a baby.  Here is what I end up doing to my kitchen when I attempt to cook.  Of course, I can't just send over cold cereal, so I made Chicken Gnocchi Soup (Olive Garden recipe)...Only, I opted NOT to make homemade Gnocchi (potato dumpling), and just went with regular potato chunks. You can't see it, but there are potato peelings and shredded carrots all over the floor and counters.  And my counter tops and sink....well....you get the idea.

On the way home from dropping off the soup I found the PERFECT little hill with green grass and a fence behind it.  It was overcast and PERFECT for a little photo op.  My kids weren't too excited about it and I only got to snap 5 pictures before Logan called it Quits!

And of course I had to get a good shot of this cuteness!

I got the house picked up and the kids down at 8.  Alex got home at 9:30 and we both crashed at 10:30.

My Thoughts on General Conference

So this last weekend was General Conference for the church.  Twice a year we get to hear from our leaders on various subjects.  Saturday morning, President Thomas S. Monson announced that we would have a temple built in Meridian Idaho.  My mouth nearly dropped to the floor.  How exciting!  I kind of got emotional.  It reaffirmed my testimony of eternal families.  I know there are a lot of people that don't believe that, which is fine. But for me, I can't imagine a perfect Heaven without them.  Anyway, we have one in Boise, but it will be so nice to have one a little closer.
My first thought.  There is SO SO much going on in the world today.  Things are pretty bad.  Some people probably wondered if any of the speakers would say anything concerning these wars, and where our country is headed.  The fact is, they won't.  Here is why I believe they won't.  No matter what is going on around us, we are reminded to move forward in doing good.  To serve.  To recognize that when we make mistakes (which we ALL do), that we have a loving Savior who made it possible for us to repent.  We are counseled every Sunday the simple principles that will bless our lives and those around us. They did mention the incident in Japan.  Politics was Briefly mentioned.  But, for the most part, the message is The Same.  And it was a very very good message.
There were so many good talks.  From marriage commitments, temples, covenants, family, ect....  The talk that stood out to me the most was given by Richard G. Scott on Sunday afternoon.  He spoke of his wife who passed away.  He shared a story about a time when they were younger, and had a baby boy who had some heart problems.  One night the baby woke up crying.  He told his wife to go ahead and stay in bed and get some rest and went to take care of the baby.  He mentioned that because of this heart condition, their baby's heart would thump very rapidly and he would throw up making a mess of himself and the bedding.  He recounted that after he cleaned up his baby boy and changed his clothing he held him very tightly and spent some time calming him.  He held him until he fell asleep.  A few months later their baby boy passed away.  He talked about how grateful he was that he took that time to spend with his son.  He talked of the covenants that he and his wife made in the Temple and how grateful they were for eternal families. Go Here. Click on Sunday Afternoon, Richard G. Scott, for the whole message.  It is very touching.
Anyway, last night I was up with Lexi at 2:00 in the morning.  I spent the hour between 1 and 2 just trying to get her to take her binki and go back to sleep.  I finally gave in and fed her a bottle.  As I was sitting there rocking her, grumpy about being up, I remembered Elder Scott's story.  I just took in the moment.  I am so blessed to have these sweet children.  I am grateful that my Heavenly Father trusted Alex and I to care for them.  I can't imagine my life without them.
Anyway, I am really glad I got to hear some bits and pieces this year.  Kids make it pretty difficult, but hey, can't complain, I love em' to death! :)

Day 3: Favorite Cast, Favorite Show

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show.

Call Me Boring, or NOT....
Friends is my ALL-TIME favorite!

 BUT
........as I mentioned earlier, some of these posts are going to just have to include more than one.
So here it is.....

Currently I LOVE
Vampire Diaries

My favorites are Reality Shows.  Yes, I know they are trashy, but they are oh so funny.

My top picks are So You Think You Can Dance (the least trashy of all of them), Top Chef, Project Runway, anything with the Kardashians......
Oh and in "non" reality
Grey's Anatomy!

Day 2: The Closest the Longest

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been close with for the longest.

This one is a no-brainer, but I will admit there are SO SO many wonderful people I would love to include, but it asks for only one.

My sister Melissa.
We are 13 months apart.  Me being the oldest.
She is 31 and I am 32.
This picture below is my Dad holding me (left) and Melissa (right).

The picture below is Melissa (left) and Me (right)

This is the only picture I could find of us together as adults.
Me (left) Melissa (right) when we both just had two kids.  The girls are mine, the boys are hers.

Anyway.  Melissa and I are COMPLETELY different!  We have extreme differences in personality, taste in clothing, friends, you name it.  But, Melissa has been there my entire life.  She knows me.  The good, the bad, and the ugly.  I was pretty mean to her when we were teenagers.....unless I wanted something from her.  I'm so glad we are past that.  We talk a lot on the phone about everything and nothing.  And I usually see her every week to week and a half.  Anyway, she is a dear friend and sister.

Day ONE: 15 Facts About Me?

Fact#1:  I Hate cooking. However I don't mind the occasional baking of cookies, brownies, pie....something sweet :)

Fact#2:  I Still sleep with my baby blankey.  I know I know....go ahead and start laughing.

Fact#3:  I can't STAND cats!  Sorry to you cat lovers.  The rubbing of the fur on my pant leg.  The cat hair that ends up on all pieces of clothing.  And most of all....the (maggot-infested) poop that INFESTS  my poor helpless flower beds.  Oh ya, did I mention that I don't even own a cat?

Fact #4:  I have been going gray since I turned twenty.  I have to keep up on the hair color.  It can get pretty scary.

Fact#5:  I am not crafty in the slightest.  I am surrounded by very crafty friends that can make everything from jewelry, decorations, clothing, sewing projects, ect....  I wouldn't even know where to begin.  I can paint though :)

Fact#6:  I like LONG hair.  I have tried long and curly (80's style).  Short and curly.  Short and straight.  Mid-length....many many times.  I am sticking with long.

Fact#7:  I LOVE to wake-board! Summer is my season, and water is where its at.  If I didn't love Idaho so much I'd probably move to Arizona.

Fact#8:  I married UP!  Alex is the greatest Husband, Father, Boyfriend.......(you name it) a girl could ask for!

Fact #9:  I LOVE eating out.  I think this all goes back to not liking to cook.

Fact#10:  I Love Love Love to dance!  Unfortunately, becoming a mother has changed my ability to do this.  I discovered Zumba and I've been revived :)

Fact#11:  I have a bit of a temper.  Only those who are super close to me....ie....family....have seen it.  Lack of sleep and lack of food will contribute greatly.

Fact#10:  I am opinionated.  However I don't always share my opinion. Many times I will just lock it inside to avoid conflict.

Fact#11:  I am a loyal friend.

Fact #12:  I am frugal.  I go shopping.  I see something I want really really badly....then I sigh and walk away because it isn't a Need.

Fact#13:  I can sing.  I'm not American Idol, but I think I'm pretty good.  I'm also pretty sure most people I associate with now don't know my musical side, but once upon a time it used to be my LIFE.

Fact#14:  I HATE being pregnant.  I LOVE what came out of being pregnant :)

Fact#15:  I Love Hoodies!  If you know me....you know this fact for sure because I am almost always wearing one.

I just realized that I can't count either :/   Oops.
