The first time he climbs out you say goodnight Logan, hugs, and tuck him back in. When he climbs out again you gently pick him up, say nothing, and lay him back down. He will be tantruming the whole time, but keep your cool. Every time he gets up you put him back without saying anything. It took spencer an hour to tucker out from his climbing out, but he has never fought me again. Not even for naps!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02677034812964614633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4014655157458936057.post-22289590290501587302012-01-10T22:59:44.661-07:002012-01-10T22:59:44.661-07:00earlier bed times!! and sometimes I just have to l...earlier bed times!! and sometimes I just have to lay down with mine for 20 min or so on the big boy bed (twin size!) until he falls asleep. Then I creep out. Then there's always tying a rope (or jump rope works too, we tend to have more of those around here than reg ropes) to the outside of the doorknob and over to another door. :) My mom used to do that to Samuel. I've done it a few times too.Shellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11307091970813477815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4014655157458936057.post-55850573120237796622012-01-10T20:52:21.607-07:002012-01-10T20:52:21.607-07:00Just try putting him in his room during nap time, ...Just try putting him in his room during nap time, without a movie, that will keep him up. Just lock the door from the outside he might play for awhile but he will more than likely crash. It's worth a try. He might play for even an hour but he'll get it and eventually he will probably just take naps, well hopefully anyway. Sorry Anna. That is not a good day for mommy when our kids learn how to escape the crib. The Cannonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15240489493272748383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4014655157458936057.post-78349603514760223722012-01-10T14:23:26.657-07:002012-01-10T14:23:26.657-07:00He just breaks those off. Not to mention...he'...He just breaks those off. Not to mention...he'll just play in his room. I have just been making him take quiet movie time with Mycah and it is working ok so far. By the time bed time at night comes around...he is READY ;)Anna Bealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13367351826073292502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4014655157458936057.post-64444704577079580262012-01-10T11:31:35.652-07:002012-01-10T11:31:35.652-07:00I put a door knob cover on the inside of the door ...I put a door knob cover on the inside of the door so he can't open it. He will cry the first few times then he will learn he is stuck and it's nap time.Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02627359887804336157noreply@blogger.com
