This blog thing can be such a mess if you let it. I just can't seem to get it exactly how I want it. Oh well. So along with the spring weather (that we are not really having) come critters. You know for the most part, bugs do not bother me, but when I have to share my home with them, I get the willies. One thing I've noticed with our home since we bought it is that the ants really like my floor boards. No they like to use my floor boards as their little highway. Now let me tell you, I am a NEAT FREAK! I vacuum at least every other day, and probably sweep my floors twice a day. But no matter how often I vacuum and sweep, there is no way for me to get every crumb. The ants always find them and travel to their little holes that get them to their highway. I can't stand them, and I can't find all their little entry ways. I got one of them last year and have had no more problems there. But I don't know what else to do. I may just have to call an exterminator. If any of you have some fabulous ideas, please fill me in.
I would have no idea what to do with Ants. Those are terrible because they are small and there are hundreds of them usually. Your cleaning sounds like mine. Ever since we moved I have turned into an even bigger freak about my cleaning. Somedays I feel like all I do is clean.
ReplyDeleteBefore you hire an exterminator I would buy some Raid or something and spray all of the baseboards and possibly outside your house as well. Just leave for a few hours so you don't kill your children. You can come to my house. I'm all alone. Anyway that's what Scott did in our crappy apartment in Provo and it worked like a charm.

A friend of mine recommended TERRO ant killer. She uses the liquid ant killer....it is kind of a mixture between a syrup (that atracts the ants) and Borax (which kills the ants)......PLUS the product kills ants, but won't harm people or pets. (My friend said she bought it at Lowe's.) I don't know if it works for sure, but I have to go and buy some this week too....we are having some ant issues here!!
