We Love Summer!

If you know Alex and I, you should know that we love the outdoors! Especially when it comes to camping and boating. I will admit though, since I've had kids, I don't love "braving the elements" in a tent. I prefer the comforts of a camper (which we do not have). I rest much easier knowing my kids aren't freezing their rears off or cooking in the daytime heat. Anyway, boating is one of those things we love most. Of course with the "kids thing", it isn't something we can just up and do whenever we want. There has to be more adults to help make sure kids don't drown. Anyhow, yesterday we took our first trip to the lake for the summer. We usually go to Black Canyon because its just a half hour from my parents house.
We all had a great time! I wish I would've taken pictures of Alex and my Brother David wake boarding, but I left the camera on shore.
I managed to get some pictures before we loaded up to come home.
The park there is Awesome!! Tons of shade! A little sandy beach for the kids. Horseshoe pits. A volley ball pit. Bathrooms. Picnic tables and docks right there where you hook up the boat. I could literally spend the whole day there just lounging, boating, and eating. I wasn't able to get in the water yet. I still have about a week and a half before I can do anything like that, but it was a good time anyway.
So folks, if you want to come wake boarding and skiing with us, we'd love to have some friends along. Like I said, we can't go just ourselves. We have until school starts (when Alex goes back to work).
So Logan is now a Month Old! I can't believe how the time flies. He eats like a pig. He's just starting to make cute baby talk. Mostly he just eats, sleeps, and poos. We love him to pieces. I think he's a little duplicate of Alex. He has been a fairly easy baby so far. He doesn't love to be held. He prefers just being put down on his back. When he's tired he loves his tummy or being swaddled. He is starting to sleep a five hour stretch at night but doesn't go down until 11 or 12 midnight, so we haven't been going to bed early at all. Here is a little video I took the other day.

Fun Fun Fun

A couple of weekends ago, Alex took the girls to Arco to see his family. They had tons of fun. This last weekend we took a day trip to Shoshone Falls. They are huge right now, so we took the kids to Twin and saw my Sister Heather who lives there and went to the falls. After that we drove to Thousand Springs Pool and went swimming. Its been busy but tons of fun. This summer is packed with tons of things to do. Here are some pictures of our weekends.

Happy Father's Day Alex!

I don't know how I got so lucky to snag up this man, but all those other girls were crazy not to figure it out. Alex is truly the best Dad and Husband anyone could ask for. With the birth of our new baby this summer, Alex has had to play the "Mommy" roll to our girls. He has been so helpful in everything. I love him. He's a great man. I don't have enough room in one blog post to explain all the reasons he's great! I just want Alex to know that I think he's the Best thing that ever happened to me and I'm so grateful for everything he's done. What an Awesome Dad!

Changes?

Dejah has been begging me for quite sometime to cut her hair short. I have been letting it grow for so long, that I just wanted her to keep growing it out. Anyway, with that said, I also don't do her hair anymore and she looks like a SKRUG! So out the scissors came. I attempted an A-Line Cut, but it ended up being just a normal straight across cut. Here is the before. Here is the after. After my "hair cutting adventure", I was spent. (Back to that later) I had to take a photo op today. My growing boy is now eating about 5 oz every 3 to four hours!! And here he is sportin some shoes :)

This is my Favorite picture. The girls just can't get enough of him.

Here again, my three little Monkeys!

Now I really wanted to be included. These were hard for Alex to get.

This next picture is exactly everything typical in our daily lives.
Dejah...with her TERRIBLE habit..ewww. Mycah in "Space Camp". Me, just trying to keep a smile. And Logan wondering "what the heck are all these girls doing to me".

Last of all, Me and my Baby :) As for my current status on the Mastitis. I wish I could say I am doing great...but I am far from that. I definitely have my moments of feeling better. In fact when that happens I think....Oh, Yeah, I'm getting better, but then all of a sudden it hits me like a ton of bricks all over again. I have been on Antibiotics since Monday. I am feeling extremely frustrated. I feel like I've tried everything. I am pumping way more often. I did the moist heat then ice after pumping out. I've done warm baths. I've rested. I'm taking ibuprofen and Tylenol for pain and my other stuff as directed. I'm also pretty stingy about priesthood blessings, but had a second one today since having the baby. Thanks for everyone's help and advice. I will be quitting all this when its over. I have never felt that formula is a Sin, I love the stuff. My entire reason for even starting "nursing/pumping" was mostly for selfish reasons....Losing weight (and the health benefits for newborns). Anyway, that is my Status. Oh and Megan...truly....thankyou for everything, you're awesome!!!

My Mastitis HELL!!

It happened when Dejah was a baby. I was lucky enough not to get it with Mycah. Now onto kid number three....The Hell called Mastitis....AGAIN!! It started Saturday evening shortly after my family got home from their weekend trip in Arco. I had a plugged "breast mild duct", I wanted to tackle it head on and put heat on it to get it to loosen up. Sunday it hit me with the full force of a MADDDDD TRUCK! I was completely bed ridden with the chills, aching body, headache, cold sweats, you name it. If you've ever had it, you know exactly what I'm talking about! If you haven't, count your blessings. Its the worse "flu" you will ever get! It was Sunday, therefore No perscription drugs until Monday!! I just wanted to curl up and die! Monday I woke up vomiting and shaking uncontrollably. My nurse called in a prescription for me, and I was basically in and out of sleep all day soaking wet with sweat. Today there has been improvement, but its still there. We made a grocery run that just about put me out. I was almost passing out at the check out. Now I'm home, ready for bed....again. Hopefully tomorrow will be even better. This is just not a way to convince someone who HATES "nursing" to endure and continue on. After this leaves my system I'm pretty sure I WILL QUIT!

Its Just Not Fair

Two weeks ago, when Logan was born, my little Mycah came down with NASTY cold pretty much the same day. Lucky for us...and maybe not so much for her, my Mom was watching the girls for a few days. Not so lucky for us...we had to bring our girls home because my mom works. Of course, bringing with it, Mycah's COLD!!! She ran a fever for a WEEK! And pretty much the whole entire time, she wanted Daddy to hold her. Then of course Dejah got it.
Dejah didn't get too sick. It only lasted a couple days, and with the help of Tylenol, she was back to normal. If you have young children, you know its pretty much impossible to keep them off of their newborn brother. As of yesterday, Logan is officially sick. He is coughing, congested, red gooey eyes, and tries really hard to eat, but won't finish a bottle. I am choosing not to take him to the Dr. for now. I know exactly what he'll tell me. Use saline drops in his nose, get him to eat as much as he will, have him sleep with a humidifier, and if he runs a fever give him "X" amount of Tylenol. If he continues to run a fever for more than a week, then come back in. So for now I am sitting here feeling bad for my little guy. Daddy and the girls are in Arco this weekend for a "Beal reunion". Everyone will be there. I'm extremely jealous of the fun they will be having without me. There will be 14 grandchildren and about 15 Adults. Pretty much everyone will be just sacked out in the house "somewhere". Its probably a good thing that I'm not there though since my little Logan is sick. Pray for my Bebe! Its just not fair for him to have to deal with this when he is so young.

New Love

Here's our little guy...sportin' his new love! (The Binki)
All my kids so far have really loved them. So much that we have to deal with getting rid of them later on.

Oh well, better the binki than a finger. I don't want to have to deal with teeth problems because I can't get rid of a finger.

Anyway, we took the kids out the other day. We've been so cooped up in this house its driving us nutsow. Alex swam with the girls and I sat and watched :) I think you can see Alex in this picture to the right of Mycah, swimming with Dejah on his back.

As for My status. It is so nice not to have a baby in my stomach anymore. Although, post babyness is a bugger. I feel really good one day, then not so much the other. I guess it has only been a week and a half...I'm just not very patient. Alex has been GREAT! I am so lucky to have him here. The girls have been sick, and its just no fun. Anyway, thanks to all of you who have given us meals and fun baby gifts. You are all Wonderful!!! Anyone who wants is welcome to come visit. Call me :)

Baby Cuteness!

Oh how fast they grow! Logan will be 1 week old on Wednesday. He actually looks alot like his sisters. He is NOT a picky eater. Breast Milk or Formula...anything goes. Speaking of going, He sure knows how to mess a diaper! I don't remember ever changing this many poopy diapers EVER on my girls. Plus the laundry, WOW! He spends most of his time sleeping...oh yah...except when I really need him to...NIGHTS. No, he sleeps nights great. I really can't complain, but he tends to wake up about an hour after a bottle due to a poopy diaper. Then I have to go back to sleep just to wake up another hour later to feed him again. He's been a bit "yellow", so we've had to go to the hospital the last couple days to get his blood drawn for a Jaundice test. He's close, but getting better, so no lights for us. The biggest challenge of this last week is that Mycah has been sick. Fever, coughing, runny nose, tiredness...and all she has wants is for Daddy to hold her. Thank heavens Alex is home!!! I am SO blessed!! How many Moms get their Husband's help for a whole summer???!

Here is Dejah with Logan on Sunday.

I really wanted to get a cute video of him making faces in his sleep.

As you can see...reality! Not everything they do is so cute. Thanks Mom for not getting that burp out!
