So I saw this on a Friend's blog who copied it from her Sister-in-Law.  I've been on a SERIOUS blogging slump.  So, I'm hoping this will help me get out of my funk.  I will have to say this first, I am COMPLETELY indecisive!  This questionnaire is difficult because in most cases I just can't choose ONE.  I promise I will do my best, but don't be surprised if I have to include more than one.

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate.
Day 12 - A picture of something you love.
Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist.

Its Been a LOOOONG Time!

The first time I ever skied was when I was in 3rd grade.  Our school was doing "Ski Night" at Bogus Basin.  I LOVED IT!  Every year I went with the school until I got a little older.  In high school I went A LOT with friends!  It was kind of one of my "things".  Anyway, to make a long story short....I got married.  Got Pregnant.  Was pregnant most winter seasons.  And when I wasn't, I had babies at home, so....getting to spend hours on end skiing wasn't so easy.  Things haven't changed much, but I did get the chance to go with my Mom, her friend from work Rachel, and my Sister Heather.  I had SO MUCH FUN!  I was reminded how much I love skiing, despite some snow and wind.  I was also reminded of the muscles it takes and I was burning after a couple hours.
Now, lets talk about the embarrassing part.
I LOOKED LIKE I STEPPED OUT OF 1995!  Hahaha!  I remember when my Yellow and Black coat used to be cool.  Has it really been that long???  And Nope....I haven't replaced that coat since.  I was laughing so hard at my dated look.  So!  That coat is officially retiring!  Time for an upgrade.  I really want to take Dejah too.   She will LOVE it!  I have no doubt.
Here are some pictures of our day.

And this my friends is how I hope to look next time I go skiing!

Stolen

Last Thursday we finally got some Sun!  It wasn't too warm, but there is just something about the sun that says "come out and play".  The girls wanted to go play on their scooters in the front, so I let them.  They were probably out there a good hour before they came in the house, which was around 2:30.  A few hours later right after dinner I told them to go out and get their scooters and put them away.  Dejah comes in the house, "They're gone!"  Naturally I figured Alex must have moved them.  When I asked him about it he said he didn't even see them when he got home from work.  Last effort I thought I'd check the backyard.  Nothing.  Which leaves the most UNDESIRABLE option....they were stolen!!!  Seriously??!!  WHO DOES THAT?  FREAKING COWARDS!  Probably some kids walking by.  Either on their way home from school (because that was the time they disappeared).  Or some kids walking to the pond after school.  (We have a park with a pond in our subdivision.)  The scooters were in the driveway, right next to the sidewalk.  I am just so mad about it.  Mycah's was BRAND NEW.  She just got it for Christmas.  And Dejah's was a really nice Razor.  We won't be able to replace them this year so I'm really bummed!  I just don't understand the mind of a thief.  What is it inside them that tells themselves that it is ok and that they deserve those things more?  We are not rich by any means.  I have four kids to provide for and those things aren't cheep.  Anyway, we made up a flier, and Mycah and I walked around the subdivision leaving them on doors.  We only got half done.  Maybe if it stops raining this week we'll finish the rest of the houses.

Here is the flier:

MISSING…..
Yesterday (Thurs. March 17) Sometime between 2:30 and 6 my little girls’ scooters were taken from my driveway in ####### off #####  If  you or your kids have seen them, or know where they might be please call ####### or drop them off at house ####.  I will even offer a little reward to anyone with information.  I would really just like to have them back.  I don’t have the ability to just go buy new ones.  Thankyou.

Ears PIERCED

So this morning the strangest thing happened.  Dejah came into my room after eating breakfast and said. "Mom. I want to get my ears pierced today.  Can I?"
We have been talking about it for a while, but she has always said she wants to have them pierced, but doesn't want to GET them pierced.  I just decided that whenever she is ready, we'll do it.  So, for some odd reason she was ready. Today.  She called her Daddy to see what he said.  He suggested she wait until her birthday in August.  She started to cry.  I told him I'd take care of it.  So, I told her that would be fine if she wanted to.  She was so excited.  The video doesn't do it justice.  I just have to say, she is such a good little girl.  She is an amazing help to me.  I would just DIE without her.  She just deserved being treated to something special.
(Warning:  There is some brief crying, it may not be an "encouragment" to those children thinking about getting it done.

HAVING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.........WE'LL BE BACK.

ICE Fishing

Last Saturday Alex and some of his brothers spent the day at Horse-thief Reservoir....ICE Fishing.  I guess they had a pretty good time.  After they were done, they drove out to Gold Fork Hot Springs to warm up.  Fun Times!
Finally!  The movie Tangled opened up in dollar theaters.  I have been wanting to take my girls since it came out Thanksgiving weekend, so its been quite the wait.  Alex was gone doing the guy thing so my wonderful Grandma watched my babies so that my Mom and I could take the girls to see it.  I LOVED it!!  The girls Loved it! I am kind of wanting to take them one more time before it is released on DVD.

Is She Ready?

I can't believe my little Lexi is nearly 7 months old!  With that you would think that she is sleeping through the night, rolling all over the floor, and well onto solid foods by now.  If you think "sleeping through the night means 8pm to 8am.....she isn't doing that.  However, she will go 8 hours and then she is ready for a bottle.  She is not rolling all over the place but can roll from her tummy to her back on accident.  Solids?  I have to admit, it has been a VERY hard step for me to take.  At four months she was absolutely Not ready.  At 6 months she still wasn't very interested.  Now she is almost 7 months and I am trying my hardest to teach her how to eat, but it takes FOREVER!  It is a HUGE mess!  She doesn't quite hold her head up very straight, so I find myself pushing up on her head to shove a spoonful of slop into almost pinched lips.  So frustrating.  I am desperate for her to go longer hours between feedings, but I'm pretty sure it won't happen until she is getting more solids. Anyway, you would think because she is my fourth kid, I would have this DOWN.  I'm afraid I just don't know what to do other than keep trying and not to worry too much about amounts.  So for now, I guess I will just keep practicing when I can, and hope she will get it soon so that I can get longer sleep at night.  If anyone has advice I'm all ears.  Maybe I should just skip the purees all together and see if she likes little pieces of bread or tiny chunks of veggies.  Is she too young for that??

Fun With Friends

Call me spoiled...or not, but I just have to say I LOVE girls night!  I try to get myself out of the house once a week without my kids.  I have so many wonderful friends that I just LOVE!  Somehow I always manage to get out with Someone (I mean what Mom doesn't need a night out?) .  These Mamas are some of my faves!
This last week we got together to Celebrate Megan's Birthday.  We went to Costa Vida and seriously sat there forever and gabbed.  After that we went to Target and paroozed then sat ourselves down in the patio furniture and gabbed some more.
FUN TIMES!
Dreaming of warmer days.
Also last week I got invited to meet up at YoYo's.  I've never been there before and they were doing 1/2 off for their opening for summer.  I was SO SO tired that night but it was well worth the belly laughs!  Plus, who can pass up frozen yogurt when you are dreaming of summer days?

Running Out Of Gas- An Emotional Affair

Have you ever ran your car completely out of gas.  Well yesterday I was pretty sure that was going to happen to me if I didn't get my car to the gas station immediately!  I'm pretty sure it was running on fumes. Of course I had somewhere to go and I was running late.  I got my kids all loaded and pulled up to the pump thanking my lucky stars that I didn't end up stranded on the side of the road with four kids in the car and NO cell phone. (that is another story)  I pick up my bag and start digging for my wallet.  It was NOT THERE!  Granted I was only a few minutes away, but I just knew if I went home to get it....I WOULD be stranded....I was THAT empty.  So I luckily found my check book and hoped the gas people would let me use a check without I.D.  So I go in and there are two ladies at the counter.  I said to one of them," I am out of gas and left my wallet at home.  I have my checkbook here.  Would it be ok if I wrote out a check for the gas without my I.D.?"  They both looked at each other and just started shaking their heads no.  All of a sudden I started sweating in a panic, my face flushed bright red and I started bawling.  In tears I said, "I don't live far, and can go get my wallet to show you my I.D., I even know my Drivers License number if you'll let me write it on the check, BUT I am OUT OF GAS and I'm pretty sure I won't make it there and back".  They were both hesitating, and then this old man next to me asked me if I needed some gas.  He offered to pay.  And here I am just bawling in public. (So embarrassing).  Anyway, I explained to him that I had my check book and the ladies said Ok.  Anyway, I wrote out the measly check for $50 and got some gas.  I don't know why I got so emotional, but my morning was already hectic, and I just couldn't keep it together.  I was so embarrassed.

No Cell Phone

Do you remember back in the day when people actually lived without cell phones??  I do.  I even remember in college when I got my first cell phone.  It was becoming the "in" thing at that time.  It was so cool that you could be anywhere and make and receive phone calls.  Anyway, now we live in this crazy world of technology where you are practically an alien if you don't have one.  Kids even have them.  Anyway, I don't need to explain all the fun details of cell phones.  I have one point...which is...I AM an "ALIEN".  Yes.  I officially do not have one.  "WE" (as in Alex and I have had one that we.....hmuh..hmuh....share).  We have a home phone (which is a Magic Jack)....its so cheep its pretty much free.  Well, for some crazy reason Alex has become SO SO busy that he has to have the phone.  Which makes me...."the alien".  So now when I leave the house, I can't call anyone.  No One can get a hold of me.  And worst of all, if I were to become stranded for any reason....lets say....on the side of the road with no gas.....I would have to flag someone down to borrow THEIR cell phone and have to use my brain to remember a phone number.  Ugh.  You ask..."Why don't you just get another cell phone??"  Answer #1:  We are on a shared plan with my parents.  We pay $25 a month for our phone.  Their plan has its MAX on users, which means we would have to find another plan for just one phone for CHEAP (almost impossible).  Answer #2:  We are trying to decrease every bill possible to get out of debt.  Adding a phone does NOT help.  So what do I do?  Complain about it on my blog (because I can :) )  And do nothing.  However I have my Ipod Touch, which I can use anywhere with free Wifi.  So I guess that only makes me Part "Alien".

Getting My Work-Out ON

I just have to say there are some things I LOVE about Kuna Idaho.  My new favorite is that we have an amazing Church Stake.  I don't know who started it, but every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday morning there is someone teaching some sort of work-out class.  It is free, and you can bring your kids along.  I haven't tried Mondays yet, but I guess it is aerobics.  Wednesday is kickboxing.  I did it for the first time a couple days ago and it kicked my REAR!  It was awesome!  Fridays and Saturdays are Zumba.  I've only done Friday, but it is SO SO fun!  I'm so excited because its been pretty much impossible to do anything at home, plus....WHO does not love working out with friends?????  Now that I'm getting a workout a couple times a week...if I could only quit my Dr. Pepper addiction.

Other Thoughts

I just got Mycah signed up for preschool next year.  I am so excited!  Some friends found a two day a week preschool that only costs $35.  I love her curriculum and ideas.  Its also a small class, so I am thrilled!
Logan has been waking up super early.  I'm not quite sure what to do about that.  It almost doesn't matter what time he goes to bed.  Hopefully the time change will fix that.

I am in the process of "remodeling" my room.  It has been keeping me SO SO busy and is coming together so nicely.  I can't wait to see the finished product!  I would show current pictures, but I don't want to spoil the WOW factor.

Well, this post has been extra long.  And I have no pictures to show.  Sorry to bore you all to death.  I've just been so busy there has been NO time to blog. C'Ya!

My Baby Turned FOUR!

I am SO late posting this.  I have just been SO busy.  But here it is finally!  Last week on Thursday evening we celebrated my little Mycah's birthday.  I seriously can't believe she is FOUR!
You would never know by looking at her.  She is seriously the tiniest thing I've ever seen.  Her 1 1/2 yr old brother is only 3 lbs lighter than her!  Anyway, she is starting to show the signs that she is leaving her "terrible twos", but if she's hungry or tired....Watch Out!  She is a firecracker!....and I LOVE IT!
Since her Birthday is in the icky winter, there isn't much to do.  I couldn't bring myself to have a birthday party at our house, so she invited some friends and we went to Chucky Cheeses!

I love that you can have a birthday party there and bring your own cake and they don't even charge you.  We did pizza for all the little kids and gave them coins.  They had a blast.
When we first got there Mycah refused to go play.  She just stood there staring at the presents on the table.  So we started the party right away!  She got her long awaited baby alive and some other really fun things :)

Uncle Derek was the ONLY person able to convince her to leave her new prized possessions to go play on the rides.

Happy Birthday to my little Mike-N-Ike and thanks to everyone who came to celebrated her special day with us!
