So this morning the strangest thing happened. Dejah came into my room after eating breakfast and said. "Mom. I want to get my ears pierced today. Can I?"
We have been talking about it for a while, but she has always said she wants to have them pierced, but doesn't want to GET them pierced. I just decided that whenever she is ready, we'll do it. So, for some odd reason she was ready. Today. She called her Daddy to see what he said. He suggested she wait until her birthday in August. She started to cry. I told him I'd take care of it. So, I told her that would be fine if she wanted to. She was so excited. The video doesn't do it justice. I just have to say, she is such a good little girl. She is an amazing help to me. I would just DIE without her. She just deserved being treated to something special.
(Warning: There is some brief crying, it may not be an "encouragment" to those children thinking about getting it done.)
HAVING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.........WE'LL BE BACK.
She did so great! Even when she is crying, she listens and does what she has to. I love that Dejah!
ReplyDeleteThat is great and so sad!! Did you feel totally guilty? Did she get over it real quick? Maybe next time the girls hang out Dejah can just tell Kadence all about it. :) so glad you got it on video though!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason this video makes me smile!! I justlove Dejah! She has grown up so much! I can't believe she wanted her ears pierced! So cute!! Even though she's crying I still loved the video. Hope she calmed down ok.
ReplyDeleteugh so sad but so cute. I bet she didn't stop lookin in mirrors all day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a tough girl! It made my day on Sunday when she passed me in the hall she says I got my ear peirced. She was so excited! So cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's the famous "Claire Bear!" Haha, I remember when Avery got hers done. She was almost 2 and they had two girls hold guns and do both ears at the same time. I think I liked that method better! Dejah looked like she was just gonna hop out of the chair and say, "K girls, I'm outta here... good luck getting the other ear done!" Haha, she is sooo cute and such a trooper!
