Little Girls=Big Emotions!

Ok, so I think am just having "one of those days". I guess you could call it pregnancy. I don't know. I am so tired. My patience is spent. My kids are driving me INSANE! I don't know how much whining I can take. For those of you who have girls, you may understand. I'm trying really hard to enjoy them and their new "grown up" stage of life. It just seems that the older they are both getting, the more they fight, and the more they fuss and whine. It drives me to "yelling" back at them, but I'm sure it just aggravates the problem. My little Mycah is a shadow. She is two, yet insists clinging to me constantly. The only exception is when she is playing with her big sister. I don't know what it will be like without her when she goes to school in the fall. One thing is for sure, I may have less clothes to pick up during the day. Dejah is like a mini teenager who changes her outfits at least Ten times a day, then leaves everything on the floor. Just a challenge thrown into this thing called Motherhood. I don't mean to just complain during this whole post. I'm just feeling tired and a bit rundown. I'm hoping I'll feel better tomorrow.

  1. Oh, how I can relate to the whining, and fighting. Girls are filled with drama it seems. I love mine dearly, but somedays I want to hide in a corner. But, I find that when I want to pull my hair out Tegan comes to me and say, "Mommy I love you so much!" Then it doesn't seem so bad.

  3. I think we're all ready for spring. I know we're getting a little cabin fever over here. Every now and then, we get a teaser day, and then it's just frigid out there for the next few. I hope you are able to get out this week for a bit!

  4. Kids just get on our nerves, it's human to just not like your kids right? I think that the weather really affects the kids too, I know my boys get upset when they can't just go out and play.

  5. AMEN!! I do SOO much laundry because of Kadence and her 50 sets of clothes a day! Problem is no one knows if they are clean or dirty and it's just easier at bedtime to throw them all in a basket to go down to the laundry than it is to put them away!! I HATE CLOTHES! I don't have a clingy 2 year old, but mine is a loud, high pitched screecher and does it ALL DAY LONG. Next time, just throw them in the car and come over and the kids can feed off each other and we'll hang out downstairs and watch a little girl R&R tv and have a pity party!! :) Just ignore my messy house!! Sorry you had a bad day!

  7. Oh Anna I really do understand exactly what you are going through. My oldest is just days away from being 5 and she is a diva to say the least. Constantly changing clothes and has her 3 yr old sister doing the same now. I can never catch up on laundry for this reason and have no idea if they are clean or dirty like Shelly said. The only time I have to myself is the brief moments in the shower before the 3 rd old knows I am gone then she is banging on the door or trying to jump in with me. And then the poor baby wants attention all the time but NOT always from her sisters. She likes them as long as they are not touching her then she screams when they try to pick her up. Which is always a bad idea since she only weighs 15 lbs less then them. I can't wait till I can just kick them outside all day or send them out to work with their dad in the fields. Just hang in there, that is what I tell myself. Oh and don't feel to bad for the yelling...that seems to be the only way I can get my kids attention a lot of the time. Sad but true. I think they have "man ears".

  8. I love your venting posts! It's nice to hear that I am not the only one who feels this way about motherhood sometimes. I like to hear the good and the bad! Some of peoples posts are simply too perfect and you wonder if they ever have a bad day. Thanks for keeping it real!!
