Meet: The Twirly Skirt
Instructions HERE!
Four of us went out for girls night and went fabric shopping. (This is where the peer pressure happened) :) I broke down and picked my fabrics. That week I picked up my Mom's sewing stuff and brought it home. Last weekend we spent about a day and a half sewing and sewing. I simplified mine by not doing the tie through the waist. Just elastic at the waist. After doing three I feel like an expert at the twirly skirt. Here is what they look like. Although I am hoping to get a good photo shoot of all my kids when we get a nice day outside.

(I did panels because I didn't have enough of the flower fabric and I LOVE it)
Quick photo shoot with Mycah
I had this fabric left that I never ended up using so I whipped it together in about 30 minutes :)
Great job! So cute. Sewing has saved me from a bored day more than once! I'm glad you are picking it up.

ReplyDeletePintrest is growing on me slowly. Yes I did make that cake :) So I guess you couldn't call me completely "undomesticated".

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but I think something is wrong with this commenting thing. I've hit publish and some of your comments just didn't get published. Anyway, thanks all.

ReplyDeleteThose are really cute! I have made some like this for my girls too and LOVE them. You should make Logan a tie to match. I just posted an easy looking pattern on my pinterest board today.
