Oh What Do You Do In The Summertime...

We have been so lucky to have such good friends with access to a pool.  On top of that, it is free :)
Here is Dejah with a couple of her friends.

When they aren't swimming...they are Eating.

Thanks Analee (left), Hillary (right), and Megan (not shown) for always inviting us to come.
(who's that kid with the Pepsi?)

We have a couple other favorite pools.
The problem with public pools are their crazy hours!  So we can't go until 7.
Here are the kids at the Meridian pool.

Logan was quite the little fish that evening!  It was so funny. I kind of wish I had gotten a little video.

Getting my "cancer" on.

Alex, his brother Gabe, and Dejah went to the deep side for a while.

I am so bummed that summer break is almost at its end!  Here's to good times.

Where Does The Time Go?

A YEAR AGO....This was my babies!

These are the "Weeds" that refuse to stop growing....
Here they are today!

Dejah and Mycah
They are little Besties...when they are "getting along" ;)

Really for the most part, they really are best buds.  Dejah can tend to be a bit bossy, but Mycah doesn't seem to mind most of the time.  I guess that is what comes with being #1 and #2.  They are pretty competitive too, its pretty funny to watch.

"Who You Lookin' At???".......

"Yup...that's right"
I really can't believe I got these good shots of her...she has been so grumpy since Saturday.  She's had a fever and huge loss of appetite.  I'm not quite sure what her deal is but I'm guessing its teething.  She is almost ONE and hasn't broke in one single tooth yet.  That's ok....she can be my sweet baby forever.

Logan...Logan...Logan....where to start.
Mischievous is the name....Trouble is the game.
....and this face tells it all.
Just this evening, I left to go do some Visiting Teaching while Alex stayed home with the kids.  At some point during that time Logan thought it would be fun to sneak out through the garage and take his little scooter on a ride.....almost right out of the subdivision!!  Alex had to go chase him down before he got to Ten Mile, which is the main road leading into our subdivision.  I'm tellin' ya... HE IS A HANDFUL!

Mycah, thank goodness you turned 4.  I think some maturity is finally catching up with you.  I'm so glad your terrible two's are finally over!!  :)   (now that you are going on five).
Mycah starts Preschool in a month and I'm so excited to see how she'll do.

Dejah...my little leader of the pack.  I couldn't ask for a better one.  Here she is sporting her "Holy Mouth".
Those front teeth were so loose and totally dead, they looked all yellow and yucky.  I begged her to let me yank em and she refused.  I then bribed her with some new black boots with heals.  After some peer pressure from some friends she finally caved.  I got both out and now she is just waiting for those stores to start putting out boots.  Lucky for her...the tooth fairy was only carrying five dollar bills that night....so she got to buy some cute slip on shoes to hold her off.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN??

The question really is......HOW did I EVER have the time to Blog??  Summer came and BAM!  NO BLOGGING.  What the heck?  Anyway, I am sacrificing my time to relax tonight to do some SERIOUS catching up.  I've spent the last hour or so just downloading pictures (There's a bunch).

This summer has been a busy one.  Alex went to Kansas for a week.  The following weekend he went on a backpacking trip with my Sisters' Husbands.  This last weekend we went to Arco.  This coming weekend Alex will be going back to Arco with his brother.  We still have two camping trips planned in a couple weeks.

During the weeks Alex works Tues. Wed. Thurs and gets up at 6 and is lucky to be home by 6.  He pretty much gets home just in time to eat and say goodnight to the kids.

I've been spending a lot of my time just hanging out with friends.  It seems like when I stay home I just can't sit still.  There is ALWAYS laundry, bathrooms, bedrooms, yard work, ect... So I like to get out of here when I can.  Mostly we just sit by the pool.  I've also taken the kids to Bounce, The Meridian Pool, the Natatorium, and to the Lake.  Can you tell we like water?

Speaking of the Lake.....Dejah tried to knee-board.  It was hard and she didn't really get it.  The next time she tried to ski and succeeded!  Yay!  She wasn't up long, but she tried twice and got better the second time.  I just LOVED that.  She was so brave.

Last night I had 14 tickets to Roaring Springs for night (8-11).  I gave 5 to my sister, 4 to Alex's brother Hart, 2 to his other Brother Gabe, 2 to a friend, and then 2 for Alex and I.  I've never been able to just go to the water park and not worry about my kids.  It was so fun!  Gabe's wife Christy had to bail out early due to a sick baby, so Gabe, Alex and I all hit the slides.  Good times!

Folks...four little kids is WORK!  I feel like a walking tornado wherever we go.  We come with force, full of noise and destruction.  It is fun, but watch out.  I'm pretty convinced I cannot have ANY MORE.  Lexi is now mobile and more than willing to eat anything in her path.  Logan is a CRAZY two year old that wants tons of attention and gets in EVERYTHING.  He can also punch a MEAN SCREAM that will leave you momentarily deaf.  Mycah is quite accident prone so you'd think she'd be used to it, but NOPE, if she sees Red she looses her cool.  Dejah, she's pretty easy, I'd totally DIE without her, however, she is a Party Animal!  She wants to play with freinds from sun up to sun down and asks me every night what our plan is for the next day.  Funny kids.

Well, enjoy the pictures and posts, good luck if you can make it through them all!

Meridian Dairy Days Parade

The weekend before Alex's trip to Kansas we participated in the Meridian Dairy Days parade with our friends.  It was so fun (and kind of a long walk).  Anyway, the kids rode in the cow train and ate lots of candy.  Here are the pictures!

Here are my friends Megan and Leigh Patterson with their kiddos.

And this is Analee and Josh Reneau with their little ones.

And Last Hillary and Jim Lowe (owners of The Farmstead) and their little crew.
If I've been anywhere this summer its been with those ladies.  Good times always!

Here are all the little girls who passed out candy.

While the Dad's Were Gone

The weekend of the Backpacking trip my Sisters and I pretty much invaded my parents house for all our entertainment.  We did get out though.  Night one, Heather and I took our kids to the Natatorium.  It was so much fun going down that water slide.  Night two, the Meridian Pool.  Sunday was day three.  Of course I skipped church because there is NO WAY I can do that on my own with four kids.  Monday we went to the lake, where Dejah attempted to knee board, but had a blast on the tube.  It was a fun weekend full of food and good times for the kids and cousins.
