Diet

Alex is on a diet...starting tomorrow.  Wish us luck.  More details on the Private Blog.

Christmas Day

Sorry, no pictures.  I have some on video, but I find it hard to take a time out for a photo op.  Anyway, Christmas morning was pretty typical.  It was on a Sunday so I had to get up extra early to shower and get ready for the day so that we wouldn't be late for church.  Since I am the choir Director I had a few things to do for our program.  Anyway the older girls woke up first.  They were so excited that Santa Came.  Of course all they wanted to do was just start ripping the presents open.  I finished getting ready then we woke up Logan.  I left Lexi in bed.  I mean, she is 1.  We didn't really get her anything cuz honestly she doesn't even know.  So anyway, we did the present thing.  Our biggest gift is Roaring Springs passes!  We are all so excited for our summer.  I know I am.  Anyway, Church was amazing!  The choir did such an awesome job.  I can't believe what our Ward produced.  After church we went to my Mom's.  She had a nice dinner ready and we ate while we waited for the rest of the crowd to show up for gifts.  Now onto the "funniest"...not so funny moment.  While we were all sitting and enjoying dinner, I had put Logan in the living room with a movie.  He seemed completely content with that because he was so quiet.  When I went to check on him I found out WHY he was so content.  Picture this.... 2 year old boy, in room with all the wrapped Christmas presents, left to himself..... let your imagionation run wild....yes...he opened ALL OF THEM!!!  I was so TICKED!!!  Anyway, that was pretty much it.  We exchanged our opened gifts then came home and relaxed for the rest of the evening.  Good times.

Christmas Party at my Grandma's

When I was a kid, we always went to my Grandma's and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve.  There would be tons a food, cousins, Nativity, and Santa!  Well the tradition lives on.  Now we go there on the Eve of Christmas Eve.  Our kids love it!  Here are my little Angels and their little cousin Camrey.

Getting Ready For Christmas 2011

So Alex and I have been wanting to do a little "service" for some people at church.  Alex's idea was Sugar Cookies.  I've never actually made them before, so I wasn't sure how big that job would actually be.  Turns out..... ITS HUGE!!!!  Ugh.  Yes you see a smile on my face but I was pretty stressed out.  I had a couple extra kids to help me that evening.  We ended up ordering a pizza and my friend Analee came to save the day and help me get them finished.

I'm pretty sure I will NEVER make those again.

Naked Barbie Problem?

All it takes is some little socks and some sissors and there you have it!  No more Naked Barbies!  Dang I'm good ;)

Sick Train...Still Moving

This last Friday evening was the annual Beal Christmas Get Together at Alex's Twin's House. (Did that make any sense?)  Its kind of nice that Alex has so many of his siblings in the area.  They were all raised in Arco. And he has 3 Brothers and a Sister all here with their families.  Everyone brought a Pizza and a fondue dessert.  The kids had a blast running a muck as usual and we had a great time chatting it up.  Anyway, I was definitely on the down side of my horrible cold, it seemed Lexi was too.  She was acting a bit fussy at Lance's house and I noticed she was feeling warmer than normal.  I was sure she was coming down with a fever.  We were the first ones to leave and I picked up some baby meds on the way home.  The poor thing was burning up, and there was not much I could do for her.  She cried A LOT that night.  Lucky for her sisters, they slept through ALL of it.  I can't say the same for me.  Saturday I spent most of the day just rocking her.  Sunday I stayed home from church and did the same.  She seems to be a bit better today but her fever hasn't broke yet, so hopefully soon so we can have some Holiday fun.  Anyway, that's the latest and greatest for us.

Gonna Rant...Watch Out

First Off.... I have been SICK with a Nasty cold now for a week and a half!  It started with a sinus headache.  Last weekend I started to notice my teeth were hurting.  I went to the dentist and found out my teeth were hurting because my sinuses were "full".  He gave me an antibiotic and I went on my way.  That night the "drainage" began.  To make a long story short.  I have barley gotten any sleep for four nights in a row!  Its not so bad in the day time, but as soon as the evening rolls around I am coughing, losing my voice, and then I can't sleep.  Leaving me too tired to clean, and WAY too tired to deal with my kids!
Welcome TODAY!  As soon as Dejah and Alex walked out the door to school, I crawled right back in bed to rest until Lexi woke up.  I wasn't there long until I here Mycah in the living room having a little panic attack.  I go check and sure enough LOGAN (my monster from another world) is chasing her around the living room with THIS!!!!:

Of course that called for a spanking.  I can't tell you how many times I've told him that the knives are a No NO.  Then I get to attend the other No No.  Not only did Logan get my big bread knife and chase his sister with it.  He also got into my last loaf of home made bread and broke it up all over my living room floor!!  (Yes, the spanking was definitely called for)
So I proceed to make him pick up every piece possible and put them in the garbage.  After a long time waiting for that I made him pull out the vacuum and do his best vacuuming up what he could.

After this ordeal, I decide I'd better get to the house work. (Which is going to take me ALL DAY).  I decided I might feel better if I get a shower.  Of course what was Logan doing??  I go in his room, and for the THOUSANDTH TIME..... He has managed to pull ALL the toys out onto his floor, AND unload ALL the socks out of the drawers. (I mean ALL of the kids socks)  On top of this usual No No.... Now he has his floor vent up and he's dropping socks down it. (Joy)  So again, a spanking and serious rebuking, he gets to stay in his room in a very soiled diaper until he cleans it all up!!! (although, I will probably change that diaper soon and send him back)

Did I mention that Lexi has my same cold?  So she is Major fussy!  She just wants me to hold her, but instead she just gets to cry.

Doing laundry today.... Sometimes Alex amazes me on how smart he is with cleaning.  I usually always trust his judgment when it comes to laundry.  Well, yesterday he decided he was going to wash his DIESEL SOAKED sweatshirt with all of my colors!!!!  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!!  I'm almost tempted to throw them all away now and go on a shopping spree!  I have cycled them THREE times and to no avail....they still smell, and so does my house.

So now I've vented on my blog, I guess I'd better get to my neglected children and house and get busy busy busy.  (Did I mention I haven't slept in FOUR nights??  Just checkin'.)

Hair

So Dejah has been BEGGING me forever to let her have short hair.  I just couldn't bring myself to do it.  It has taken so long to get it here, and I know how I feel after mine gets chopped (I love it for a day or two, then I want it long again).  Anyway, I finally caved and let her get it cut.  To top it off, she wanted a bang.  Whoa is me.  This means I HAVE to do her hair and I can't get away with pulling it all into a quick ponytail.

To top off all this hair fun.... my Mom had this package thing to a salon in Eagle that she purchased.  It came with a Pedicure, a Manicure, a Massage, a Hair Cut and 50% off color.  Since her friend is the ONLY one that does her hair, she let me use the hair portion of it.  I went in with all plans to pretend I was Nancy.  Funny how that can bite you in the butt when the hair stylist is someone you knew in middle school, high school and dance :)  It was so funny.  Once she said "I totally recognize you.  Where do I know you from?".... the Gig was up ;)  But really it was fine and So fun to catch up.  Can I just say she does AMAZING hair!  I love the coloring she picked.  Anyway, I tried to get a self portrait of it (of course, I'm not sure what I was doing with my face, but you get the idea).  This way, my Grey hair can come in with full force and it will be harder to notice (that is until the roots are obvious and I will just get it done again).
