The Best Cell Phone Deal!

I'm sure everyone has heard of Prepay Cell phones.  Well I have been using one since last summer.  Alex and I have only had ONE cell phone between the two of us for a long time.  When Alex got busier with work he needed to take it with him.  Leaving me with just a home phone (which by the way is Magic Jack, also another discussion).  Anyway, it just wasn't working out.  Well our cell was under my parents Verizon Plan and they were capped.  We couldn't add another line.  So, I opted to buy a cheap prepay phone and just add minutes as I needed them.  I chose Net 10 and bought 750 minutes for $25.  When I would run out, I would buy more.  Texting would take 1 minute per text and so on.  This has been working really well.  I found on average I spend about $35-40 per month on minutes.  So the other day I was doing some research on how to use an iPhone with a prepay plan.  Come to find out...IT IS POSSIBLE?  What?  Essentially I needed to have an AT&T or Tmobile iPhone or and unlocked GSM phone.  Then I can order a SIM card and activate it with monthly Unlimited minutes for $45/month.  Sounds good to me!  So will it work?

Here is my current CHEAP prepay cell phone.

I purchased a USED iPhone 3G from a guy on Craigslist for....get this....$70!!!

I ordered a Sim Card from Net 10 for $15.

When it gets here I will insert it into the iPhone and activate Monthly Unlimited Talk/Text/Web for $45 per month!  I think that is quite the deal :)

All Dressed Up

When I got finished with the skirts I needed to go find them some shirts to match and some kind of outfit for Logan.  I went to my favorite second hand store for kids clothes... Kidz Again.  I hit the jackpot!  Anyway I love their outfits.  I was actually hoping for nice weather to take pictures, but its snowing right now, so I'm not sure when that will happen.  Anyway here they are.

Me? Sewing? Oh Yes.

It all started with a "little" website called Pinterest.  I have found that most people who like that website also LOVE to craft, sew, bake and shop online.  If you know me at all, you would know I am NOT crafty whatsoever.  Somehow I came from a family full of crafty, baking, sewing, canning experts and never got the "bite".  Well a friend of mine loves that stuff and decided to make her kids matching outfits for Easter.  That turned into some peer pressure and I decided I would take on a little sewing project.
Meet:  The Twirly Skirt
Instructions HERE!

Four of us went out for girls night and went fabric shopping. (This is where the peer pressure happened)  :)  I broke down and picked my fabrics.  That week I picked up my Mom's sewing stuff and brought it home.  Last weekend we spent about a day and a half sewing and sewing.  I simplified mine by not doing the tie through the waist.  Just elastic at the waist.  After doing three I feel like an expert at the twirly skirt.  Here is what they look like.  Although I am hoping to get a good photo shoot of all my kids when we get a nice day outside.

I had this fabric left that I never ended up using so I whipped it together in about 30 minutes :)
