Randomness

Well, I've officially finished season Four of Grey's Anatomy. My Sister-in-Law let me borrow them. So every night when Alex crashes at 9:30 or 10:00, I usually spend an extra hour watching one episode at a time. Its been a long process, but I REALLY enjoyed it. I will say though, I'm not sure if I will continue onto season Five when it is released. I could kind of tell that it is moving in a direction that might just "lose my interest". We'll see. Now I need a new show. I'm told Desperate Housewives is really good. Any votes??

On Saturday, Alex and I got to go out and Celebrate his Birthday...just the two of us. My Sister and her Husband watched our kids. We never get to see movies, so we went and saw one called "Taken". It was VERY good, and I definitely recommend it. After that, we went to dinner at Macaroni Grill where we sat two booths down from Coach Peterson (BSU Football Coach). It was kind of funny watching people walk by and stare at him. Can you imagine being actually famous?? That would stink....I mean getting stared at all the time. Anyway, it was a good time. I wish we could do that more often. So I have this new calling at church. I've been put in the Primary teaching the 10 yr olds. I must say it has been quite the challenge. Not so much the kids, they are actually well behaved, but keeping their attention...even in a fun lesson is really hard. I think the hardest part is that I am headed into a really difficult stage in my pregnancy. So sitting through 3 hours of church is kicking my butt. We meet at 1:00, so I don't get a very good lunch before we leave because I'm getting everything else taken care of, and I also miss a very needed nap. I know I know...I'm totally spoiled for getting naps, but I REALLY need them. Anyway, the Primary Presidency has been really nice to see that I get a "soft" folding chair instead of a hard one. Its probably a good thing. Sitting on a metal chair for that long would put me in tears. We find out THIS WEEK on Thursday evening what we are having! YAY! I can't wait. I am trying really hard not to get to SYKED about it, but its hard. So, I will post more on that either Thursday night or Friday morning.

  1. Stick with Greys. It goes through a part that I don't like or approve of, but it doesn't last long. I watch Desperate Housewives too. Bacically I'm just trying to see how they will end it. Don't get going on that one. Have you done the Gilmore Girl thing? Our new favorite is Heroes. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  2. So I hated the beginning of the 5th season of Grey's but now I am really starting to enjoy it, still don't love it but it's entertaining. I also like private practice(spin off of Grey's)

I too am in the primary, it is an interesting calling but I truly am learning to appreciate it. Hope the 10 year olds are nice to you!

Can't wait to hear what you are having!

  3. Grey's may turn around here soon. I think they are moving past the part I hated. Don't bother with Desperate Housewives. The first few seasons were good then they did this "skip ahead 5 years" thing and now it's just weird and kind of beyond weird on some of the story lines. I did have a love for Gilmore Girls, to second one of your other commenters. :-) All 7 seasons are on DVD. We are into Heroes now, but it takes more focus than a lot of the other shows to keep up with what's happening. :-) I too am a fan of Private Practice, the Grey's spinoff, though I didn't think I would be! Can you tell I like to talk about TV? :-)

  4. Yay - you get to find our SOON:) Are you hoping for one over the other?? The 10yr olds are a hard group to keep attention spans. My kids loved doing crossword puzzles and word searches and they took up a good chunk of the time too:) You can make them for free at several sites online. Just do a search for free crossword puzzles.

  5. I totally disagree with all of your friends about their advice on shows but that's ok. I LOVE desperate housewives, it is so good. I hate Gilmore Girls although I think you would probably like it and Christy owns 6 seasons so there ya go. I used to like Private Practice season 1 but I hate it and refuse to watch it. That show it so trashy it makes me die. (And that's saying something). I love Felicity. It is only four season and like every other show can be a bit scandalous but it is really good.
I can't wait to find out what you guys are having.
